Richard Lee Gill

1949- 2016
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away September 11, 2016. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah June 18, 1949, to Harold William Gill and Vera Larsen. He married Cherri Romano on June 15, 1973. He loved adventures, hiking, cross country skiing, rafting, and telling a good story, but most importantly he loved his family. Time will never erase the memories he created with them. Everyone who met him knew they could ask him to do anything. His heart was huge.
He is survived by his wife, three children: James Patrick (Fiona Smith), Katherine Marie (Jon Wilbur) and Andrew William (Vanessa Browning), four amazing grandchildren: Aiden, Zoe, Isla, and Lily, sister Robyn Gill Smith (Craig), mother- in- law Clara Romano , sister-in-law Christine Harrell (Ron), brother-in-law Craig Romano (Debbie) and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law Charles Romano.
A Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday September 16, 2016 at Saint Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City. Committal: Mount Calvary Cemetery 4th Ave. and 'T' Street.
In lieu of flowers, Richard would prefer you spend time in the outdoors.
