Raul Contreras

Raul Contreras, age 31, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

Raul grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by family and friends who shared in the many moments that shaped his life. He was known for his grouchy exterior, but those who knew and loved him best knew there was a big heart underneath it all.

Raul had a special place in his heart for his niece and three nephews, whom he absolutely adored. The love he had for them was undeniable, and the bond they shared will remain a treasured part of his memory.

Raul will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known the big heart behind that grouchy exterior. His memory will live on through the people who loved him and the moments they shared together.

Preceded in death by his father Pedro Contreras, grandparents Beulah & John Gonzales, Uncles Raymond & Jack Quintana & cousin Benny Quintana. Survived by his mother, Shirley Quintana, siblings, Ricky (Magaly) Quintana, Leticia Quintana, Maritsa (Virginio) Quintana, and Adan Quintana. His daughter, Esperanza Contreras.Numerous Nieces and nephews and extended family.

Viewing services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home. (372 E 100 S Salt Lake City UT, 84044).
