Kyle Edward Mock, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Monday, September 14th, 2026 at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah after a hard-fought battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He was 38 years old.
Kyle was someone who cared deeply for the people around him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing video games, and working in IT, where he was always willing to use his knowledge and skills to help others. One of the few roles he cherished the most was being an uncle. He loved his niece and nephews immensely and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them or be present in their lives.
Throughout his battle with cancer, Kyle always showed an incredible amount of strength, kindness, and compassion. Even during some of the most difficult moments of his life, he continued to be selfless to the people around him.
He made jokes with those at his side, reminded others to take care of themselves, and found ways to bring light into situations that were anything but easy. His illness was only part of his story, and it never changed the person he was at his core.
Kyle will be remembered for his sense of humor, his selflessness, his kindness, and the love he had for everyone in his life. His absence leaves an immeasurable space in our family, but we will carry the memories, laughter, and love he gave us for the rest of our lives.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Caren Tegantvoort, Jim Tegantvoort, Bernie Mock, and Lee Mock; his siblings, Stephanie Mock, Victoria Mock, Ryan Nielsestuen, Chase Mock, Shea Smillie-Mock, Wesley Tegantvoort, and Rainey Tegantvoort; his step-brother, Kenny Weber and family; his step-sisters, Dennelle Williams and family, and Sierra Paterna; his niece, Elle; and his nephews, Hudson and Johan; along with many other family members and friends who loved him deeply.
Details regarding a celebration of Kyle's life will be shared with family and friends at a later time.
